Guatavita Lagoon (on Mondays it is closed) is reputedly one of the sacred lakes of the indigenous Muiscas. A ritual conducted at the lagoon by the Muiscas has been the basis for the legend of El Dorado. Additionally, the lagoon is situated over an impressive landscape view!
